The Gulls Lament. Middle Earth Archived.

As the sun sets over the Grey Havens the gulls sad lament is accompanied by the lullaby of soft waves. Frodo, bilbo and Gandalf take to sea, their time in Middle Earth ended. On the harbour front Merry and Pippn can be seen consoling each other. Sam Gamgee grasps the Red book of westmarch unable to tear himself away and waves what he thinks is a final farewell to his master and dearest friend Frodo Baggins.
