Without a doubt the early Citadel role playing miniatures and Ralph Bakshi animated film adaptation of Orcs/ Goblins have had a lasting affect on how I perceive Orcs. The old Citadel mini's are full of character, full of spikes and mismatched armor and the Ralph Bakshi Orcs are very dark and misshapen The other place I always look for inspiration is the early East, especially Samurai warriors, the masks alone make perfect Orc faces.
